Pig fattening at the Sandering farm

Pigs have been fattened on the Sandering farm for more than four decades now. The piglets are purchased from a piglet producer in Lower Saxony, fattened on the farm and also marketed in Lower Saxony.
For many years, the pigs have been fed a quality feed from the Bröring company, and the use of herbs enhances their vitality and health as well as the meat in many ways.
The farm markets the pigs ready for slaughter to the Böseler Goldschmaus company based in Garrel, Lower Saxony.
Böseler Goldschmaus runs the "Die Marke der Bauern" program and the Lower Saxony regional window, as well as cooperating with the German Animal Welfare Association.

In our company there is the "two" and the "three" husbandry system

With the "two" husbandry system, we give the animals 10% more space than the conventional standard, as well as the opportunity to have enough material and roughage to keep them occupied.
The controls are subject to the QS creterin - the test mark stands for tested quality assurance for fresh food - from the farmer to the store counter.
There are also audits according to the creterin of the ITW - Initiative for Animal Welfare.

In the "three" housing system, we give the animals 40% more space, sufficient fresh air, GMO-free feed and the classic curly tail, and the animals also live 100% on straw.

The farm and its forms of husbandry are tested according to and by:
