After two and a half years of planning, the extensive construction for the modern straw bedded barns for 2,400 fattening pigs could start in spring 2022. At that time, completion was targeted for the end of 2022, but a number of changes to plans and drawings, including delays in delivery, pushed the entire project back about 8 to 10 weeks.

Now it was finally time for Dirk Sandering and his family to hold the topping-out ceremony in a small circle with invited guests from neighbors and friends as well as the companies involved and the employees.
