An apprenticeship on our farm is very varied, from intensive bull fattening to the special cultivation of potatoes.
Bull fattening is an important pillar for us, because with 350 animals this branch is capital-forming. In addition, there is pig fattening, where the farm has a lot to do with the current situation regarding animal welfare. Grain and maize cultivation is also very intensively pursued.
On the farm, the cultivation of potatoes is particularly noteworthy. It is carried out with a great deal of work, including our own storage, loading and sorting with the most modern technology.
The company has well-qualified personnel in all areas. Training courses and further education measures are attended.
Exam preparation takes place throughout the year in theory and practice. Here, practice is carried out with the usual equipment as well as with the most modern technology. If necessary, the trainees can choose the vocational school location themselves. Technical excursions such as Eurotier, Agritechnica, field days or BG-related events etc. are regularly attended. There are also continuous staff meetings for planning and organisation.
In our company, working hours are regulated in such a way that less work is done in the winter months and in June/July. In spring (March-May) and autumn (August-October), work peaks due to the planting season and harvest. Overtime is paid or can be compensated with time off.
During his or her time with us, the trainee has his or her own room with bathroom and internet connection. A television is available, but not a PC. The room is located in a separate wing of the building.
Meals are provided, but must be prepared by the employee, e.g. on weekends or holidays. Meals are taken with staff and family as well as alone.
